The Library is a room in the Manor of Sleep in Fatal Frame III: The Tormented.
This room connects to both the Blind Room and Flickering Hallway. Before the events of the Unleashing, it was used to store texts relating to the rituals of the Kuze Shrine. In the back is a ladder going up to the third floor along with a small altar. This area is initially blocked off by a chest of drawers, which Kei Amakura can move aside.
This altar is also a component of a mechanism that unlocks the door to the Hanging Prison, requiring the Commandment Tome. On the altar, there is a message which reads: Offer up the Tome of Instruction / Written in the Ink of the Etching of the Soul, though an alternative translation is also offered in Rei's Notebook.

Hour 4: The Evil Dream[]
- Bookcase - "The bookcase is full of old books. I tried looking into them, but the writing has smudged from the damp, and I can't read what it says."
- Stacks of books - "Some of the books that won't fit into the bookcase are piled up overhead and on the floor. In one of the books is an illustration of some kind of ascetic, his body covered in what looks like a tattoo. On the next page is a picture showing the ascetic being swallowed up by a snake... Maybe this is a book illustrating local myths or folktales or something?"
- Bookcase #2 - "The books in the bookcase are faded and covered in dust. The paper has turned to shreds and I can't read them."
- Space - "There is a small space at the back of the low bookcase, and I can see a ladder leading up. I tried pushing the bookcase, but it's too heavy. Probably only a man could move it..."
Hour 5: Vanishing[]
- Space - "There is a small space at the back of the low bookcase, and I can see a ladder leading up. Maybe if I can move this bookcase I can get inside."
- Altar - "A light shines on the bookcase altar, illuminating a red bookshelf. Some sacred object must have been displayed here... Something is written in tiny letters on the shelf. "Offer up the Tome of Instruction - Written in the Ink of the Etching of the Soul.""
