Fatal Frame II: Deep Crimson Butterfly

The Moonstone, named Gecchouseki (moonstone) in Japanese, is one of the many Spirit Stones that Mio Amakura finds scattered throughout All God's Village in Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly. The stone belonged to Woman in Box, a villager who met her end while hiding in a kimono box. The stone can be found after fighting Woman in Box for the first time in the Osaka House Kimono room during Chapter Two. When played using the Spirit Stone Radio, a young woman's voice, distinctly different from the ghost's, can be heard panicking about the darkness.

Trivia[]

  • Moonstones are typically a amalgamation of different feldspars, which is why the word for feldspar, 長石 (chouseki) appears in the Japanese name.
