Shizu like her daughters, she must have brown hair and brown eyes.
Shizu grew with her brother Kei Amakura near the Minakami region. At some point she met Misao Amakura and they both later married. In 1970s Shizu give birth to twin daughters Mayu and Mio. She would watch over her daughters while her husband was busy with work. Shizu was aware of her husband's past. Later her husband Misao disappeared in Minakami forest village. Shizu knewed that her husband would never return to them and was confirmed that he is dead. Shizu loved her daughters deeply and wanted them safe, she took away her family and away somewhere far from the region.
After moving away from Minakami. Shizu was deeply affected by the incident of her husband's with each passing time she grew protective over her daughters and watched over them when they were kids.
Years later, Shizu fell severely ill and was hospitalized. Shizu contacted her younger brother and asked Kei to look after her daughters while she recovered.
Shizu has recovered from her illness. After she heard about a dam being build at the Minakami forest. She took her daughters to visit her hometown one last time, which will be submerged by a dam and Shizu knew about the The Lost Village rumors, so she warned her daughters about it.
Shizu seems to be in well condition is taking care of her daughters. She has also allowed Kei to visit them and take care of them.

- Shizu's surname Amakura means "heaven, sky" (天) (ama) and "warehouse" (倉) (kura).
- Shizu is aware about the curse of the Minakami forest and knows about her younger brother Kei's work.
