The Spirit Tree Courtyard is an outdoor area in the Manor of Sleep in Fatal Frame III: The Tormented.
Around the room, there is a wooden walkway surrounding a small square garden containing a large Spirit Tree in the middle. Many skewered dolls are found on the branches. This room is connected to these rooms: the Closet Hallway, Blind Room, Barred Hallway, Doll Altar North, Doll Altar East, and the Shrine Courtyard.
This courtyard was very important to the Shrine Carpenters when it came to containing the Rift after the Unleashing. The staked dolls are said to represent carpenters who made Sacrificial Pillars, and the placement of the dolls before the door to the Shrine Courtyard were said to protect the Manor's residents from the Rift and the wandering priestess.
This tree was also important to warding off the Rift, although it is very much ambiguous. It is wrapped in sacred rope (shimenawa) and with is a wooden memorial tablet in the shape of a human tied to it.
The eastern and western corridors leading to the respective Doll Altars also have shimenawa, and bunches of holly are pinned to the wall at certain intervals.

Hour 6: The Sacrificial Pillar[]
- Door with shimenawa - "Thick cords of sacred rope and paper are stretched over the door, which has been tightly sealed off. In the center are four amulets inscribed with pictures of papers dolls shaped like people. Could Yuu be... in here...?"
- Spirit Tree - "A piece of wood wrapped in cloth has been tied with sacred rope to the tree in the middle of the courtyard. What looks like a curse of some kind has been written in tiny script all over the cloth. The straw dolls impaled on bamboo stakes all around the tree seem to moan in the wind. "It's not enough," said the man who stood here... What was "not enough"...? A rope festooned with white paper charms is wrapped around a large withered tree. Tied to the rope is a wooden memorial tablet in the shape of a person."

- Door to Doll Altar East - "An old doll has been impaled onto the small door. The door is firmly closed. The song sounds like it is coming from inside..."
